Steam customer support is closing all my inquiries without answering.
After about 50 minutes of playing a game I recently bought, I asked for a refund because it wasn't to my liking. It hasn't even been two weeks since I bought the game. However, from the beginning, Steam closed all my refund inquiries and other inquiries without answering. There was no response to the email either. Is there another way to contact Steam Customer Support?

1. Manual ticket, pick the game, ask for a refund.
2. Valve sends email notices, but if you read it, there's no inbox to send back and email.
3. Automated refunds generally only work if under 2 weeks and 2 hours played.
If all tickets are being closed right away, it usually means you've compromised your account at one point or another. Usually this is done when people use sites for skins, items/"trading", gambling, "vote for my __________" sites etc.

You would want to remove any present API key, remove any unauthorized device(s), and change your password to ensure account security.

Steam Support will always respond to support requests. If tickets are being closed without response it's certainly a symptom that your account is compromised, a bot is monitoring your account and auto-closing tickets.

I'm willing to bet that if you secure your account your support ticket issue goes away. :KentHappy:

oh my god. I have now logged out of all devices and reset my API key. Is there more that needs to be done?
they closing it cause they don't wanna refund you, account security is not the issue it is just the method that steam support uses to remove most of the refund seeking abusers.

Changing your password to ensure any malicious 3rd parties don't have your working password.
Never forget that part.
keep in mind someone having access to your account would not be trying to stop you from getting a refund for a game they don't want, they would be happy to have your steam wallet funds.

so the whole your accounts insecure is why your steam support ticket closed is just silly nonsense

they just attempting to lock you out of your account and or make it so support thinks you stole the account so they can compromise your account and say its not yours giving you even more headaches cause you just wanna refund a bad purchase you just wanted to test and not commit to.

Accounts compromised are well-known to automatically close ALL forms of tickets, including refunds.

common sense says no compromised account is not running around deleting steam support tickets. most people can't even find open steam support tickets when they make one, lol.

steam support is just notorious for not wanting to support the customer. Be more cautious when you buy steam games, don't expect refunds its not a demo service.

Again, it is well known and documented on the forums that all automatic ticket closures without response and without being refused service is a sign of being compromised - but not fully - as this is the exact symptom.

I would recommend refraining from further Libel against Valve

Thank you so much!! I reset your API keys, reset passwords, and disable logins from all my computers, so your inquiries will no longer be closed! Thank you for your kind reply.

LOL when an account is compromised someone else has access to it LOL. LOL having some sort of bot monitor an account it has access to because the account is compromised and execute actions like self-close support tickets isn't some unfathomable impossible process LOL.

So much for your "common sense", seems to be an anagram for dishonesty or ignorance.

FUD

OP just needs to re-secure their account.
Classic signs of a compromised account.

Closed by a Malicious Individual

A ticket can be considered to have been maliciously closed when someone other than the person submitting the ticket closes it.

If your support tickets are being closed without response from the Steam Support team, and you're not closing them yourself, it's likely that someone else is closing them - perhaps maliciously. In the very rare cases where this happens, it can usually be attributed to an account hijacker that is trying to make recovery difficult for the account owner. While this is a serious situation when it comes up, it's also usually a simple matter of securing your computer and email account before getting back in touch with Steam Support to recover your Steam account.

All steps...

Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/ or with whatever.

Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Change your password on a secure device.

Generate new back up codes. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Revoke the api key (this should be empty) https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

AFTER you fully secure your account, make a new ticket.

You chose to ignore the thread title where the OP clearly states: Steam customer support is closing all my inquiries without answering and is unaware of why.

The answer is a bot is on their compromised account and is auto closing any ticket which is opened to Steam Support. There is even an article:
