you are constantly looking over your shoulder wondering when the next update from steam is going to be the one to lock out windows 7 and these are all these comments about windows updates which have nothing to do with that dead horse of an operating system.
some have even resorted to third party updates to try keep their dead horse of an OS relevant with absolutely no regard for the safety of their OS trusting that third party.
Then you have some users throwing insults, logical fallacies and deflections because they don't want to listen to others saying their efforts to prove their dead horse of an OS can still work. They see it as proof everyone else is wrong.
Gladly no, i do not care when steam will be updated as it won't update on w7 when it will not running on w7 anymore leaving the old one untouched.
And i do not use this updatepack myself ...for the rest of your post, i do not need to comment , your words are speaking for yourself xd
We are circling stuff for nothing ...
i am not a kid first and have anought knowledge on it to understand what i've read or what a security update is.
yes the update is not for w7 home or pro and what's the problem as it can be applyed to w7
And if you ever asked what contain the KB5037780
here is a list of corrected issues
https://msrc.microsoft.com/update-guide/releaseNote/2024-May.
And i do not think @Master.Constructor is using windows 7 embedded like most people who are using it
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_NT
Basically all this os and not devices ... we are talking about os update not device.
Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise ESU Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard ESU Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter ESU Windows Embedded POSReady 7 ESU
Think for a moment more on this.
We are not updating device but os ....
if you run w7 on a py or on a fridge or whatever else the same fix will be apply on your os whatever device you are using ...
eg
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1675200/view/3131696199122435099
if you think this windows won't receive any update from microsoft because it run on a steam deck then you will be surprise ...
And also for people saying "Linux is too hard lmao..." might have used Linux when it's still terrible for desktop use (like 9-10 years ago). It's way better now and you don't have to be a computer nerd to use it. ♥♥♥♥ is way easy now. You are not compiling your kernel or apps
Yea ofc, ubuntu and linux mint are not gentoo or arch linux where you gotta compile and do terminal ♥♥♥♥ (For people who think ubuntu is gentoo).
