How to permanently remove game licence from Steam?

Hi, as the title says.

Ive reached the Steam support already, but with no good result.

Ive accidentaly bought wrong region games (Dishonored & Fallout: New Vegas) and i NEED TO remove them, then buy region locked versions designed for my country.

Does anyone has an experience about this topic?

Only Steam Support could do anything about it. You cannot just delete licenses yourself. Otherwise, highjackers would have a field day.

Wait 90 days and the region lock expires, so to speak.

It wont expire, these are like completely different products.

Ive bought RoW licences, but i need these:

Dishonored "RHCP"

I know these kind of region locks are not being that common these days, but still...

ROW licenses can be activated worldwide in any region. Why would you want a region locked version instead?

It wont work properly until i will get these region locked versions, ive already tried.

Btw RoW means "rest of world", which is except these RHCP and PCR versions.

The delete license from Steam help section is just an advance form of hidding the game from yourself on your account that all it is, this is incase for those regert making the choice, and can simply undo it from steam help section hence the point. Plus there other problems which why they won't do it as well for legal reasons.

Fun fact regional lock games become worldwide after 90 days, there nothing can do but wait 90 days when you redeem/bought regional locked games. Just count 90 days from when you bought/redeem game it's not hard.

If you had bought the game via steam directly just request a refund if you're within Steam refund policy, otherwise it up to them to choose to approve, or deny request when outside the refund policy.

Ive bought these games back in 2018 and believe me, nothing changed since that.

I didnt mentioned that the method of activation was CD KEY.

I just want to remove these two licences completely then buy "right" ones through Steam.

I hope that it makes any sense?

Ah ok, you should be able to rebuy the games in other region or WW version, ensure your account is set to the correct region you're in, then visit the store, and search for the game, should see buy option for you.

Devs can list same game multiple times as their own version.

So i was trying to reach the support about this but they didnt removed them. Maybe its impossible for them to do such things? Idk.

Did you ensure to check you change region on the account?

The other thing I can suggest is redeem WW key, but not 100% how this is working in your exact case if it will let you redeem, the other thing is can use alt account, and family share to your main account. Note not all games can be family shared, but I know these two can be family shared.

How did you reach Steam support? There is no Steam support. Just a generic response by a bot?

My region is, ofc, right (Czech Republic).

And these versions are designed for Czech region, including few others.

To be more specific:

RHCP = Russia, Hungary, Czech and Poland

PCR = Poland, Czech and Russia

Simple answer is you can't. Even steam support cant remove a liscence permanently

so if you want to buy them, make a new account and purchase on that one

Rest of World by its very name means it doesn't activate in the regions that are excluded from it. There are plenty of RoW keys that won't activate in Japan, and some World Wide (WW), keys, too. It's certainly going to be the same for any other region for which RoW does not apply on Steam, as well.

Now, for OP, if Steam support won't remove the licenses (they used to in the very distant past), the only other option is to buy them on a second account, and as long as the store regions with that account and your main have parity, you can family share to your main account (unless the game is specifically excluded--in which case, play it on the new account).
