Oh ♥♥♥♥
Go to Steam top left >settings>Cloud> check the Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for applications that support it is enablled.
Restart Steam
Many players lost all their save files due to a wrong Steam Cloud update.
For me I lost the save files of Witcher 3. All files since last September. Hundreds of ingame hours. Luckily I had another local save also, but this should not happen. Cloud is supposed to save the files, not delete them.
This is not just the thread opener, this happened to many. And Steam ignores the problem.
Microsoft had an incident in August 2023 and it messed up OneDrive pretty bad. Since Steam's user base is automatically opt-in, the issue keeps reinfecting Valve's servers and subsequently the user base's machines.
I'd be more concerned if Steam worked properly.
