While still in early access, it's already very polished.

I enjoyed Children Of Morta, quite a bit.
Not sure why people are adding the user-defined tag "Roguelike"- it is a Roguelite.
Boss battles can be very challenging as you get further into the game, and you play as multiple characters- it is important to level each one up to unlock new buffs and skills. So, it has a bit of a twist to it that single character roguelites do not have. That may or may not be something you would enjoy.
Took me about 100 hours to complete the game and 100% it, but I tend to go slowly and like to clear everything, everywhere, and explore every inch of every dungeon.
It does need good reflexes and response times, but it's not overly twitchy. But things do move fast, outside of the story dialogues and cutscenes.
You can replay areas or battles that you fail the first time, or the second, or the third... or so I've been told *wink*.
The game does take a little thinking at times, to learn how to get through areas or what strategies work best for different bosses. There are some good guides, and there are some terrible ones, as with any game on Steam. Not sure if there are mods available for the game- I never went looking for any.

already mentioned Hades is definitely a great game worth playing; I also had a lot of fun with Gunfire Reborn.. it's a blast solo or with friends

Long runs and lots of action? Perhaps Rogue Legacy 2?

Yeah, I do. And yeah, I need to move t up in my "Play Next" list, while I still have enough reflexes left to play these types of games, lol.
