Yakuza 8 nominated even though it's the worst, the dumbest and most depressing Yakuza story.
SH2 remake nominated despite it being a 1999 story. By this logic, where's Persona 3 Reload then?

Best art direction & Best music:
No P3 Reload, no SMT V Vengeance?

Best sports / racing:
I know that Test Drive Hong Kong isn't the best game but it's still miles ahead of boring broken overpriced annual junk. Nominees are literally "Mostly negative" on Steam.

Best action game:
Where's STALKER 2?
Why do you even nominate and held awards in Nov-Dec instead of Jan-Feb next year?
Is it gonna make nominees next year then?

Same question for Indiana Jones in best Action/Adventure.

Best adaptation:

This happens every year, where something releases in December but can't really count towards the year it releases in, and isn't really considered for the next year either I think.

It all comes down to which publishers are prepared to pay the asking fee to promote their game. And given he wants to trademark the term "Game Awards", he needs every penny he can squeeze out of them.
