BIG PICTURE MODE: how to disable it?

hello!

im looking for ways to disable steams big picture mode for good. any time im turning my xbox controller off, if im not careful, steam goes big picture.

im not looking for ways to turn it off; ive read some guys entering big picture mode by mistake and getting stuck with it because couldnt find how to revert to normal mode. just go to the steam menu, then power, then turn off big picture mode (or something like that).

i want to disable it or, at least, change its activation shortcut.

any help?

Easy on how to disable Big picture

you just have to go to Steam - settings

then you must go to interface

and you will see an option call start steam in big picture and turn option off to disable it

that aint for disabling it. thats for not starting steam on BP mode when steam starts.

that onyl stops it from launching on startup. Does nothing to help OP

Neither does "guide button" option

they have never worked. ever.

so pls stop saying this, and Valve, please listen and do the super easy thing ppl keep asking for for years now.

I hate everytime I accidentally go into big picture mode never used it. I guess it's cool to turn your pc in a console, but I hate console UI. don't have a HTPC set up so it's not useful for me.

YUUUUP

It's just irritating. It's not about BP mode being bad, it's about the INHERENT CONFLICT of using the button that turns on/off gamepad being the same that launches BP mode.

Just fix it valve. You know the problem, you know how many ppl hate it, and you know how dead simple it is to address.
