Are you in Germany?
Go figures because you can't trust the government all we can hope is the Valve director pops in to see what he can work arrangements with everyone. Man that guy is Legendary for Steam I was even trying it on Linux and everything the operation was actually pretty smooth I know eventually I need a computer upgrade I am waiting to see if computer prices are gonna fall because holidays and what not.
try searching without being logged into your account and see if they show up. If you are blocking certain tags and those tags have been applied by Steam users then it'll remove those games from your search results while logged into your account.
Well I got Half Life to pop up here but when I search it shows up as Half Life 2 and certain games will seem to disappear as if it's kind of being delisted. I know my brother is having issues getting Portal to pop up but I am seeing this perfectly fine. Idk why people are saying retro games will be disappearing because of next-gen Triple A gaming that would suck if it did because my computer can't do a lot of Triple A I do got GTA5 if that even counts or not which BTW I love that game half to death and even did VR with it as an unsupported VR Game but it was still pretty cool. I am hoping games like that don't start disappearing it would be sad to see iconic games disappear that pioneered all of this.

I know someone on Minds is encouraging me to do a GOG account to preserve older games in a list and has a way to import your Steam games but idk how well it works. I wanna import Alan Wake onto a GOG account and gonna have to look up tutorials. Dude I was raised in the early 2000s and even play older Zelda and Mario games which is awesome. It's gonna be even more hard to get these games if we don't some how see if the Valve guy can help us out. I know if he wants money he might be able to help but fat chance of that the dude is probably too busy to even talk to please Valve owner save my childhood thanks!
The reason Half-Life 2: Episode One and Half-Life 2: Episode Two are no longer high-visibility in the store is that Half-Life 2 comes with both of them for free (and if you previously owned any of the three, you now own all three).
The best thing that can happen is publishers keeping the game up, or at least include the old version with the new one if they decide to delist. Square didn't even have the curtesy to leave the old last remnant up or sell the new one lol. Dragon quest XI's good graphics version was also removed to sell the switch version
It's easy enough to include the old versions or not delist them (unless a lot of licensing), the darksiders games and lucky's tale have done it, after some requests, so no real excuse to wipe them from existence
You're clearly doing something wrong with your searches. Alan Wake is still being sold on Steam.

Alan Wake II is a sequel. Has nothing to do with delisting anything.
You misread my comment I am talking of other games as well when I search for games the whole indexes are messed up please think before you post thanks.
Okay I gotta do some clarification here you missed the point I am saying older games are being delisted due to next-gen gaming watch some YouTube videos about it and you will see what's going on it's kind of strange if these rumors would actually be true.
Can you please provide links to said youtube videos?
Cause so far every game you mentioned as being delisted weren't delisted at all.
I wish we can find some way to keep retro games also if you guys wanna know what I am talking about found one guys video talking about this.

Just provided it please check it out and see if this guy is speaking the truth or not some people like him are basically talking about it.
Maybe I misheard what the guy says but I do know that Sega is also involved in removing their games for more newer games or something all I know is a lot of people are tripping about it.
