Whislist Updated!

Hey community,

Valve finaly fixed a long time issue on Whislist. Where if you have a game whislisted what removed from Store basicaly remained/stuck in your whislist, hidden (it counted in your whislist number).
You was only able to remove them with some manual work trough browser and finding each game ID.
Now we are able to remove those leftover junk using the client function.

Yep, it's a shame these weren't automatically removed but at least we can now remove them manually without having to jump through hoops by adding a code to the console through a browser. The games all show up as 'product unavailable' with their original wishlisted date but we can now rid them in one click thankfully!

as of today, i have 3 wishlist items in my wishlist that says - NO LONGER AVAILABLE
i have 57 games listed Inc those 3, what i would like to know is what were these 3 that were delisted? they were either still to come out or not that long came out... would be nice to have been told said games were delisted.

...but at what price? Seems like we lost "Early Access" tag visibility from wishlist level - you have to get into game store page to see it :(

So either this topic is a lie or it doesn't work for everyone. I had to use a website with a wishlist sync and go slowly from sides to side to find a dead game I had to remove myself. I'm not sure what this update is supposed to be but it wasn't there for me.

If you already removed all the games previous that were de-listed then no more will show after whatever this update did.

No, you don't understand. If this update is live now, I had this delisted game pretending to be a ninja in my wishlist. I only noticed it because my wishlist said 142. The website said 143. So I sorted them by names and went down each ones of the list slowly...

I found a missing entry between two letters and when I clicked the game (On the website since Steam was not showing it), I had a link to the steam page and surprise. Delisted game was still there with a "wishlisted" box. So I had to manually remove it myself.

Did you check your wishlist prior on Steam to see if there were any 'product unavailable' entries? You still had to remove them by hand but I could do this in the client rather than going to a website or having to input special code in the console.

There never were "product unavailable" entries to me. Ever. They always just ghosted my list and it was a struggle to get rid of them. I thank heaven for some websites capable of showing what these entries are. It's still a pain trying to find them, though. x.x

The 'product unavailable' entries are only showing today after this update and these were the de-listed games. The third party sites were able to identify extra parameters such as the AppID or product name but today all hidden products were revealed within the client wishlist as grey boxes with product unavailable on them and the original wishlist date plus a button to remove them.

Yeah, it just now have a grey blank section for delisted games with product unavailable. It show when it whislisted and also a button to remove it like any other whislisted game. It does not show what game it was and clicking on it bring you to Steam Home Store page.

For me, today, it still didn't work unfortunately. It was a ghost entry. I suppose they didn't fix the broken entries but new ones probably won't be broken anymore, at least. =/

it still says I have 19 wishlisted games and there are only 11 visible. weirdly, there should be 21 wishlisted games because I know the other ten are from cl0rthax

I'm starting to think this is a bug for people who had games get de-listed? Didn't happen to my wife. Very concerned about this.
