The Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, which oversees the CIA, is using an ADL report to openly threaten Steam (the world’s language gaming platform) that it has to censor language, keywords, and accounts, reminding Steam that is “financially successful” for now.

Yeah, pretty much.

Steam was already moving rapidly to position itself as an impartial party, I could clearly see this playing out in real time.

Steam, of course, will continue to maintain its position as an impartial platform. This approach is the most rational and effective business strategy in the long term. But, the smear campaign orchestrated by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and their use of media sites to publish articles about these issues is a tactic that, while it will achieve some notoriety for the ADL, falls short of the more strategic and business-savvy approaches. The ADL could've achieved far better outcomes if they had business acumen.

Dunno. I got banned all my accounts 3 days ago. Game development accounts, business accounts and private accounts, lost 5000$. Games like CS, when I go in, it says with a red bar in top "Account locked". Obviously because I combine letters of the alphabet in a way the demons do not like. Making light by combining letters in the most lightful way - is not allowed by these people. Evil people. Demoncrazy people.

I have been very much targeted. I dunno about others.

If you don't like it, stand with those who have also been wronged by Steam.
Let corporate know how you feel about what they have done to you.

When enough people stand up, the people make a difference.

It has to start sometime & now is a great time to make your voices heard.

Just to clarify, the Senate Committee is not in a position to sic the CIA on anyone, as that agency is part of the Executive branch under the President. Its task is the "oversight" of CIA, meaning that the CIA is obliged to report on its activities to the Committee, to such a degree as the Committee can manage to make it. Which apparently is not always as full and frank as one might wish in a democracy.
