You couldn't have come up with a more nonsensical response. My PC is fine. In fact I have a degree in information technology so don't give me this BS.
Client I've not had any bugs with personally. Last time I saw a bug was the back arrow bug some had, about it.
Moderation just does what they do. Privacy leaks never heard of or seen, and support like every other company to exist, uses transcript so as not to confuse customers.
No I mean Steam itself. You can't even use the screenshot manager in offline mode. And none of this is even handled gracefully. It looks the same as always, you press the buttons, nothing happens. That's just bad.
"Moderation does what they do" is saying nothing. People are getting banned on the forums non-stop, while the review section on product pages is a giant mess. Being a store, you would think the latter would deserve some attention.
Totally expected one of you to come up with that. Don't believe it then, idc.
(Old) gameplay from players (so-called "meta-game" data) can be used to enhance or alter currently played game worlds and A.I. with.
Unfortunately almost no developers have been seen using this gameplay mechanism. Or developers simply don't know about it, or haven't yet been able to use it well enough.
That's a strange argument. If they don't give me a choice, they are just using me as a resource to get the data they want. Steam client does this as well, it forces me to have it running through Steam DRM and then it's going to record my playtime and so on. I can only choose to not share it on a public profile.
I, for one, and glad that there is such a plethora of choice on Steam, although my wallet may disagree. If one sees nothing but trash, then one needs to look in the mirror, because not only am I finding treasures on Steam on a daily basis, but I'm practically tripping over them in my perusals.
I've been gaming since before PCs were a thing. To me gaming today is levels above what it was 20 or 30 years ago. And that is in thanks directly to development studios, indies, and platforms like Steam.
Pound for pound, it is cheaper to be a gamer now than it was 40 years ago. I can buy games for $20 that will give me dozens upon dozens of hours (if not hundreds) of entertainment. Back in the day, I would be lucky if I could get more than 30 hours of playtime out of a $40 or $50 game.
At least half the games on my wishlist are ones that I am looking forward to coming out in the next year or two. There is a plethora of choice right at my fingertips. The Indie scene is thriving with thousands of quality games and more coming out every week.
We have continued to push the boundaries of technology to bring about the most amazing games. I can drive a load of TVs to California in the morning and slay a band of orcs with people from all over the world after dinner. I can top the leader board and pull out a win in a battle on the sea with a bunch of random noobs, or fight a robotic dinosaur in a post apocalyptic world on my own.
No, my sweet summer child. Gaming is far from dead, and platforms like Steam are far from trash. In fact gaming has never been more alive and a treasure to enjoy.
Are you posting in the wrong thread? Or just not paying attention? I'm not complaining about games or gaming.
I've never met anyone with poorer discriminatory ability than this. Well, keep making no sense then. I can't take you seriously.
Then why are you here? You've got plenty of other choices. Epic. GOG. Consoles might be more your level.
And as I've said before, it's amazing how so many people claiming to have these degrees are so lacking in their ability to use a computer. Perhaps there's a specific part of the curriculum that teaches this ineptitude.
So you know how to turn it off and back on again. Excellent.
