Clown award

I just got an email saying my profile received a "Clown Award".
While I am glad that I will receive 200 tokens to spend, it can be seen as offensive, and it is publicly displayed on my profile. How do I hide this?

You go into edit profile and uncheck the box that says "Show awards on my profile". That or was it check the box that says "Hide awards on my profile". I forget which one it's called.

The other person may have been trying to harass you, but you're lucky to get the points.
I don't mind being a Clown at all.

I mean, getting a lot of Jesters can also be a sign you are just a target because of your opinion.
I dont shy away from calling out racist/homophobic or general bigoted posts and its usually raining Jester awards if you oppose such users.
From my 114 Jester awards easily 100+ are from such confrontations.
By now i just thank them for the free points and move on.


Plus i also get a lot of positive feedback. I am just a bit sceptical if a account has nothing but Jester awards, that are usually the dedicated trolls.

Or you can wear it with pride knowing that someone thought you were worthy enough for an award. I have one and I'm not blocking it. The Jester award says just as much if not more about the person giving it as the person receiving it.

Considering 90+% of them given is due to the fact that someone simply doesn't agree with you I think it is funny.

As one of the posters above said, just keep them awards coming and collect them all as badges of honor. Jesters generally mean you said something that must of really pissed off a woketard or a right winger.

I just told Steam to stop sending me them because it's always annoying to be expecting an email from a doctor or something and hearing my phone go off to see... "Oh look, someone disagreed with me."

They also played an important role in society at the time. Honestly, the comparison to clowns simply doesn't fit. :-)
