Gift Cards + Microsoft Rewards
I've been using Edge for a long time, and it's the best... you earn points for browsing or completing objectives, and you can redeem those points for video game items, donate to charitable causes, or other things. For example, I've managed to get 1500 "robux" in Roblox by redeeming 100 "robux" which are worth 1500 points. I just recently achieved this.
So, I would like to suggest that Steam adds the ability to redeem gift cards for Steam once you reach a certain number of points. This would be especially useful in South American countries, where the dollar is a challenge.
That's all, it would be wonderful if you could consider this. Best regards.

They tried vouchers with the system before and abandoned ‘em.
Those 1500 points, got you $1 worth of Robux.

The whole points thing on other stores, is to try and draw in customers. Steam doesn't need to do this. Them simply existing is enough to draw people in as it currently is.

Why? It might be something that is interesting to you, but you might want to consider that such things aren't always of similar interest to companies.

I don't think that's advertising but rather strategy... plus Steam doesn't lose much by doing it. I understand that they don't need anyone, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't "speak out" or make changes for the better :D

I understand... it's just a suggestion of something I'd like to see implemented. I know there's a company behind it, the same one that brings us discounts and many good things. I hope someday they do something similar to "help" players in South America who find video games so expensive...
Also, if you look at it this way, Steam would make money by using this "tactic."
Companies like Valve prefer actual money be received from a payment method or a steam wallet card which is obtained through real money.

The primary way for anyone to do anything about costs for countries is for the countries to help themselves to become a valuable source of something to the point their currency becomes more valuable especially in world trading.

Nothing-for-something schemes really aren't that workable. Someone has to pay the bill that is due to get a steam wallet card.

It's a complicated case, I honestly don't know what to think, I just want to play Cyberpunk 2077 :steamhappy:
If steam does that it’s going to get flooded with bot accounts trying to abuse it

You are wording it wrong, correct would be:;
Steam (Valve) does not need to do this anymore.

The phase where they needed to lure people onto the store so that it becomes the dominant marketplace are long gone (that where the years where they did special things to annual sales etc.).
