So...those "fruit" clicker games.
Valve gonna do anything about those anytime soon? they seem like schemes of some sort, if not a scam
Where people "play" them in hopes of getting drops to sell for profit, wonder if it could be classified as gambling, albeit free gambling (unless you pay for one and hope it goes up in value)

They are the most bought types of games by the highest paying demographic. American women over 40 are the highest demographic of gamers, followed by teenage Asian boys.

You accuse me of being envious with no proof?
Would you be envious of someone reselling water bottles 50 percent increase in profit? No you'd think its scummy.
My gripe is not the money they have made purely, it is how this crap fills up the steam game store and how it has next to no value for a game.
And yes you DO have bias even if you haven't sold anything, you have partaken in the "game" you have put items up for sale, theses are not accusations, these are true.

Fun fact, you can just press ignore on all games in the steam store that you wouldn't want to see, if you ignore just a few you will not see them nor similare games to them recommended to you again.

I see nothing wrong with these games, and they are surely not a scam.

I do have bias tho, it is normal to be bias towards a certain opinion in any topic.

What make me even more bias is that I made 10$ off of these games so far, most expensive item I sold I listed for 2$ on the steam market place.

Games like this existed way before egg and banana, I actually managed to find a "low effort" game made in 2018 that also gives free drops.

Now I am gonna assume, but I am pretty sure if a youtuber like spiffing brit was actually the creator of banana and then published its results people would love the video, support the games, and be amused that he managed to actually make profit.

I mean he always post these exploit videos and peole LOVE THEM. So why is it any different now?

For someone like me living in a third world country I would really like to find a way to generate money online, so when I found out about this I gave it a try. Of course 10$ is nothing even for me. But this is only one method of all the methods one could try to make money on steam.

My own brother was making 700$ a month on steam before the market crash and trading cards value going to high.

So it is possible to make money on steam, and if these games add any amount of dollars to my account each month, I would gladly take it.

But sadly this is only a trend and once there is too much of these items in the market, selling and making profit would be impossible.

Finally, don't tell me to go get a job, I already said I live in a 3rd world country and I am only home 2 days a week, which is the only time I can try using steam for profit. My country's situation is getting close to the situation in Venezuela. So what other choice do you propose?

You should trade resources, stock, or crypto. You will start making real money. Only saying this to be helpful.

And yet they are neither.
So Valve has no cause to do anything.

How people use something is their own business. and nothing Valve has control over.
This harms no one, and does nothing wrong.
So, in essence, it's weird, but that's it.

Nothing bad here.
Just weird games.

Not sure why people are trying to convene the Hague War Crimes Tribunal over this. XD
Shovelware and/or pyramid schemes are not illegal, they're just trashy.

Its a Multilevel Marketing company. You are right in that pyramid schemes are illegal, however you can skirt the edge of illegality by dressing it up to look like an MLM. It's how actual pyramid schemes get away with operation.

Legal or not, both Pyramid Schemes and MLM are trashy.
