How about considering Windows 7 still reliable operating system
Despite being released over a decade ago, Windows 7 remains a popular operating system among computer users. In fact, according to recent statistics, Windows 7 is still being used by more people than Windows 10. There are several reasons why this might be the case.

One reason is that many people find the user interface of Windows 7 to be more familiar and user-friendly than the UI of Windows 10. Windows 7 features a classic Start menu and taskbar, which many users prefer over the tile-based interface of Windows 10.

Another reason why Windows 7 remains popular is that it is generally considered to be a more stable and reliable operating system. This is especially true for users who are running older hardware, as Windows 7 tends to run more smoothly on older machines than Windows 10.

Despite this, there are some key differences between the system requirements of Windows 7 and Windows 10 that users should be aware of. First and foremost, Windows 10 requires a more powerful computer than Windows 7, particularly in terms of CPU, RAM, and hard drive space. Windows 10 requires a modern processor with at least two cores, at least 4 GB of RAM, and at least 64 GB of storage space.

In comparison, Windows 7 has much lower system requirements, and can run on older hardware with as little as 1 GB of RAM and a single-core processor. This means that if you are using an older computer, or have limited resources, you may find that Windows 7 performs better than Windows 10.

Ultimately, the choice between Windows 7 and Windows 10 comes down to personal preference. While Windows 7 may be more familiar and stable for some users, Windows 10 offers a range of new features and improvements that can make it a better choice for others.

Interesting.

How many Steam users are on Windows 7 though?

According to the Steam Hardware Survey;
https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/Steam-Hardware-Software-Survey-Welcome-to-Steam

0.08% of Steam users on Window 7 32 bit.
1.28% of Steam users on Windows 7 64 bit.

Where are you getting your statistics?

Anyone can say anything on the internet but that does not make it it true.

Even on steam itself it's a extremely small amount for a good reason and you can do a quick google and see for yourself the amount of people on windows 7 is a small minority.

Did you read what was said there as the site even shows the small amount of people using it?

It like gameover for window 7 .. and Valve will work forward newer version of Windows now. primarily because these PCs are now unpatched and more vulnerable to malware.

XP was widely considered the best version of Windows that there would ever be. It, too, had a huge amount of holdouts that did not want to upgrade, so much so that Microsoft felt compelled to push emergency updates back to XP past the end of service.

Whose statistics? Realistically this could be true because most 10 users moved on to 11 leaving behind a portion of 10 users that are smaller than 7's users, but I have yet to see any reliable report that proves it.

im Still windows 7 with Ryzen 5, 24gb DDR4 and Rx570 4gb. There is no reason to upgrade to windobe 10.

Steam should release a Legacy version.

Steam / Valve will Not be releasing any Legacy Version. Come 1st January 2024 if you haven't installed Windows 10 or 11 you won't have access to the Steam Client or your Game Library. Which will be entirely up to you. People can complain all they want but it's gonna happen.
