Steam Client : Error Code-101 (Resolved)
Hi,

Impossible to connect to the server. the server may be offline or your computer may not have connected to the Internet.

I deleted Steam,
Reinstalled Steam,
Redownloaded all my games
I did a thorough scan with Kaspersky Total Security,
I did a thorough scan with Malware Bytes,
I did a full system scan with SpyBot Search&Destroy,
Results no malware, and i can't play to Elite Dangerous ...
I also get an error on Steam (which says I'm not connected to the network while it was downloading the games)...

It must be a problem on Steam I spent time I really did everything to check my system, I reset my internet box, but Elite still does not work, the other games launch without problem and Steam dares me say i'm not online...

I also tried creating a new Windows session; same fight... it doesn't work... you have a solution?

I play Elite Dangerous every night in a group with friends and there I am no longer allowed to play online... I would like to understand...

How do I contact Steam Support? I did not find ... just help pages that did not allow me to progress on my problem ... it happened during the week while the day before I was online on Elite dangerous until 4am...

if using windows, just run compatibility check. windows will automatically detect issue and fix it. Worked for me. Hope that helps

I will try but for 1344 hours of play on Elite Dangerous I have never encountered the slightest problem either on steam or elsewhere ...

I'll come back to tell you if it works....

The compatibility utility didn't help me fix the problem or uninstall the .NET installed on the 8th of this month since when I'm having this problem with Steam and Elite Dangerous; I haven't tested other games but when I see an Error Code 101 displayed on the store, community and my profile page from the Steam client I imagine other games will mess around with ""online" seen that I have no problem with other games to play solo.

I think I'm good to reinstall the computer soon; without guarantee as long as the problem is solved ... having not modified anything in my system for the problem to arise when I was preparing to launch a multiplayer game ...

If you were able to Re-Install all your Games,
then it's not a STEAM issue, it's a Game issue.

Thanks for following but I had already tried;
so I reinstalled Windows, drivers, Steam, etc etc but not the games which are on another SSD ;) and everything works fine now. Until next time...^^

Well for me It worked after I did everything just to be sure .. I uninstalled steam ( save your steamapps or else u have to re-download everything ) I rebooted my router and updated everythng , did a file check on everything clean up my pc etc.... BUT then I just decided to close kaspersky and all of a sudden it worked.. I think some Anti-Virus programms are not working sometimes and fk it up .... Try to just turn off for 1 sec to start steam and if ti Works it was your AntiVirus....

I got it working again on windows 8.1 by putting the -gldriverquery.exe- file in windows xp (sp3) compatibility mode and the steam app -steam.exe- in compatibility more of windows 7 ;p

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
