Can the future delivery date of a gift be changed?

If I buy a game as a gift and set a future date for delivery, am I able to change that date later?

Edit: Apparently not.
Just tried it with a old gift that i had in my inventory and send it to another account of mine with a date in 3 days. I have no option to change the delivery date after that.

May be different if you buy from the store instead of sending from the inventory but i dont think it will.

Yes you can. I just changed the date again for one I've been testing the past year to see how long I can keep it in limbo.

Where? It does not give me the option at all for the test gift i have send out.

In your inventory. It must be purchased as a gift that is scheduled for a delivery at a later date first.

Old inventory gifts don't work this way.

I purchased a game as a gift on "Purchased: May 8, 2022 @ 3:42pm" and rescheduled it last week to Dec 8, 2023 and just now again to Jan 8, 2024.

It seems you can extend it for a while.

Ah ok, this was a old inventory gift, so thats why it did not work.
