Incorrect unless you mean someone from steem which would be hilarious...
Only people who "might've" been able to see it were steem employees. Try harder
Just like VACs, sometimes permanent restrictions are because someone chose to do something worthy of permanent punishment.
Censorship is useless because:
A. It's easy to find porn and nudity. You can mistakenly find it on the internet by just looking for something else.
B. You can easily meet someone in a multiplayer game that cusses or says something you don't like or does something sexual in a virtual reality game or calls your momma a fat joke. You'll probably find a lot of those people, and by then the damage is already done.
C. At school your kid could easily come across something you won't like. I remember one day finding pages torn out of a porn book all over the place at school in like fifth grade. This was back in the 80's or 90's when I was a little girl. I was like WTF.
It's all life. IMO people don't get prepared for life or are prepared for it, because they can't deal or handle with situations that may come up or understand how to prevent such situations. They just want to shut anyone up that doesn't agree with them or arrest them. They're okay with acting with violence on you, but if you fight back you're evil for doing so.
Censorship itself is life though, it's been around since the dawn of time. It's been in all cultures and societies and religions. It won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
It's just how I feel about it, I'd love it if people could just be themselves. I think a lot of anger comes from that too, if everyone keeps their foot on your throat and has a noose over your head threatening you for something you might say or do, no matter what it is, you'll get resentful and feel hatred towards them for that, and I see that as just being human and normal to feel that way. I think people need love and censorship is something that deprives people of that.
Times they are a changin, and here in the states, even proposals (i think it passed 93 to 3 in the Senate) to have these gaming sites and social media crack down on younger accounts, and more regulation as to how these sites are run, particularly with children.
States, coming out with their own regulations in regards to adult content.
These matters are, or are coming to Steam eventually.
Whether its Steam censorship, or in regards to our governments.
We may indeed find out, Mr Newell may end the forums, being it's too much liability, and too many changes need to be made to make them viable or worth it.
