Coupon not working.

I'm trying to buy Mondealy with a 75% off coupon but it's not letting me because the game is on sale for 33% off. My coupon expires before the sale ends so it there a way around this or am I out of luck?

Can I use coupons on already discounted items?
Unless clearly stated otherwise, promotions such as coupons or loyalty discounts do not stack with Steam Sale pricing.

Did you apply coupon then add game to cart? Was there an error message?

Yeah, just used the coupon from the inventory and then on the basket page it didn't let me buy the game. I can understand them not stacking but I don't know why you can't use them to buy the game at what would be the cost taken off the full price with the coupon.

Some games won't allow you to use a coupon while a game is on sale. Sometimes they will and you can stack a coupon to a game on sale but for the most part you can't.

Game sales also have limits on sale price.
When on sale, the price drop cannot go below 90% of the normal price.
Soo 33%+75% would put it too low.

Rather silly that there's not an option to cap it out at 90% or to ignore the sale price when calculating. As is, feels like I got a lemon of a prize. like even more so than usual.
