Ask the game devs/pubs of said games. They set the prices.
Neither did HK.
They told you they didn't change the prices at all and Valve didn't change them.
i can say that i feel new game pricing has gone up everywhere... aus here...
old games are sort of stagnant which as a customer we are losing now
because in store these games would be in the bargain bin or not
even sold.. i.e. no sale.. no profit...
so game dev/pub might think they are the winners..... for now...
overall i have watched the world become more and more expensive and
we are now paying the high price.... you get less and less each year now.....
enjoy the loss...
we have gone beyond inflation... we are now increasing poverty...
enjoy the loss
In regards to your list of games, you can use SteamDB.info to see when the prices increased. There is no April 2024 increase. As a matter of fact, you'll notice that they all increase at different times suggesting that the publishers of those games are making the decision to update the price on their own terms, not Valve's.
There is no correlation between the raised prices and any specific date. Some have been set to their current price for a while now. Unless you're mistaking a discounted sale price for it's base price, that is.
The publisher of Art of Rally denies the price change, as shown:

Pacific drive is currently -30% and 187*(1-30%)=130.9, not 152.6
SpaceEngine's official discord was nuked once, at August 2023, what a surprise

You claim there was one in April 2024. So they are correct to deny your claim.
My prices are based on what I pulled from SteamDB. And it appears I did read the graph wrong. It states a discounted price of HK$152.60. Fact still remains there have been no price adjustments to the base price since release.

And that relates to your April 2024 price increase claim how?
I did what I did as a service to you to see that this claim of a price increase to Hong Kong happening in April 2024 is a figment of your imagination. I checked a few other popular games and did not see any price hikes as you describe.
Do your own research if you like. I have nothing more to provide. You claim is debunked.
And I'm not wanting to "win". I simply wanted to validate what you saw. If you were correct, I would have said so, or simply not provided the proof I did.
If you're going to make a claim on a discussion forum, make sure you have the facts to defend it.
Care to show us yours?
