perfect so why are you constantly saying there is not update on w7 (ps ; it's a vm and trying to apply updatepack you know it's working unless beeing completly blind ( polite way of saying something else ) xd ) ??
because you do not see any on windows update ?
i am not fixing rules nor how things are working ,i just can see what's working , how and why ...
https://www.askwoody.com/forums/forum/askwoody-support/windows/windows-7/win7-beyond-end-of-life/
agree stupid name for a thread , knowing an os is not something living ....
ps ; use full screen next screenshot xd
I have constantly tried to remind people that there are no NEW windows updates. As in Microsoft is NOT releasing any new updates for Windows 7. I never stated that there are not updates for Windows 7. There are many updates for Windows 7 that Microsoft has released in the past. I have only stated that there are no NEW updates for Windows 7. The reason I am stating this is Microsoft has not released a single NEW update for Windows 7 since January 2024. Nothing new on the Microsoft catalog website has any update for Windows 7. You can not update Windows 7 if there is nothing new to update Windows 7 with (nothing released).
I showed you the relevant information relating to what you asked for: Steam is working in Windows 7.
exactly what i posted why my old steam but not in vm but not let us show the steam release used xd
so i guess you can apply updatepack and discover by yourself it's working as intend so i wonder you continue posting surch ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ???
may be because you've gone too far and can't go back without let'ing people reading this thread thinking you're just a bullshiter ?
thrust is something so hard to gain , but something that can easily be so easy be lost and for for your own case, you have a negativ stack ...
seems you're circling on things you do not understand ...
windows 7 sp1, window server 2008r2, windows embedded are the same things more or less that explain why mikeysoft made only one update for all theses sku when it was the case ( remember what sha256 means , especially when applyed on server 2008r2 files and windows7 embedded , not counting the pkg.properties files directly included into both files xd )
no need to repeat myself i can't do anything for you ...
and the hearth is flat ... and we never gone to moon , it was a movie ...
nonetheless, you made astonishing progress , because now you are using a vm but despite than, still spreading ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and lies when you can do all the discovery and tests by yourself..
and please go post in askwoody ( you have the link just above ) and tell them the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than you're posting here , i will be curious about their reactions xd
ps;
do not forget this post also xd

but may be english is not your nativ language so i can understand ...
EDIT: My main problem with you (and a few others that I won't name in this comment) is folks are trying to convince others to continue using Windows 7 longer under the guise that they can continue updating the operating system with "new updates" from the server version of Windows 2008, thus making it safe to use on the internet. This is completely false because not only are those not Windows 7 updates but those updates don't even update anything in Windows 7 at all.
If I don't say something to correct you (and others) every time comments like this are posted then people would actually think that they're updating Windows 7 then try to go online with it and continue using it thinking they're safe when they are not safe.
The updates for Windows Server are NOT The same as updates for Windows 7.
Windows Server is NOT the same as Windows 7.
If an update is designed for Windows 7 then it will say Windows 7 on it.
If an update is NOT designed for Windows 7 (server or embedded) then it will not say Windows 7 on it.
You know all of this is true that I just wrote. You just continue trying to mislead people into a false sense of security by claiming they can update Windows 7 when you know they can not.
I don't understand why you would do this but what you are doing is VERY DANGEROUS! Someone has to step up and say something or other people might actually believe you and think they can update Windows 7 again.
Windows 7 can never be updated ever again after Jan 2024. There's nothing you, UpdatePack7, or any other person or app can do to change that fact. Every time anyone writes comments trying to claim there is some sort of "new update for Windows 7" I will be right here to correct those statements and make sure everyone knows that's not true.
win 7, server 2008 and embedded are all the same, same updates and same kernel.
you have been shown this repeatedly, its not our fault you havent learned the facts.
as for "danger", id say your spread of misinformation is the only "danger" here.
Windows 7 can never be updated ever again after Jan 2024. There's nothing you, UpdatePack7, or any other person or app can do to change that fact.
aye , and we can't do anything for him ...
here it's not an IT forum so he can say all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ he want but imagine if he would have said the same in the linked IT forum of web site i've asked him to post ,)
not counting that i do not really understand his audience target ..
https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey
w7 is 0.15% on steam ...
ps:
seems moderators has allready taken the choice for us and that for so many times like with his friend and not sur he will come back any sooner ( the other one at least , he learned the lesson) ...

allready applyed by some win 7 user without any issues
and for my case, msrt is allready here and updated
Thanks! Already downloaded and I have two more PC's to update this month as I'm going to try dual-booting Win10/7 on the "new" laptops.
I really didn't want to get invested in Win10 until it was properly fixed but situations have changed so I'm deep in it now. Regardless, even when cleaned up using O&O ShutUp10 / AppBuster & CTT WinUtil, Win10 is a bit of a letdown with how slow and 'sticky' it feels. :/
