https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/52.9.0esr/win32/en-US/
so stop try to ask for the burden of the proof when you can't even do the same for yourself and so spreading misinformation and bs into steam forum ...
so post a screenshot of your steam client after pressed "check for update" with the client "about panel" and may be i will trust you, till that sorry no ;)

last version of firefox for xp is easily googled.... its 52.9.0 esr.
you trying to install the latest versions (current) beyond what was supported... is user error, though fair to say workarounds exist for newer versions.
no screenshots needed, its just as i said in my comment, last working version of firefox and win xp and off to surfing the web... safe or not.
also to mention, there are other browsers made specifically for xp (some for quite a few older OS's) to browse in "modern times", being updated and all...
anywho, i know its hard to grasp, but stuff doesnt magically stop working when not supported, it takes years or even longer before backend changes/connections etc.. start causing issues, assuming it ever stops working to begin with, this isnt limited to software either.
i do not think i need to use a sandbox for using steam and playing my game nor using any other tools i have but thx for this so interresting advice xd
and for browsing the net, ff with some addons
As typical for you: You completely made up something fake again and when someone questions you on it you move the goalposts around so it looks like you said something else.
nope, looks like
no goal posted moved, no fake stuff being made up, sorry.. thats not how that works.
