Wukong dev reject $7 mil extortion from DEI
English:

The reason why the team behind "Black Myth: Wukong" has been subjected to persistent sexist attacks and slander since their first promotional video is because they have consistently refused political correctness guidance and rejected the extortionate guidance fees of millions of dollars demanded by these political correctness teams.

Actually, such teams are quite common in Europe and America. They interfere with works like "Assassin's Creed" "Dying Light 2 Stay Human" and "God of War" by pushing for politically correct female protagonists. These changes are the direct result of the interference and guidance of such teams.

Game science teams refuse to communicate with these groups and reject their interference. Most importantly, they refuse to pay the exorbitant $7 million in guidance fees. This is the direct reason why they are being attacked and slandered. Some justifications are based on the team's lack of diversity or representation, which doesn't align with the political correctness standards.

A typical example is an article by a major IGN writer criticizing "Hogwarts Legacy" and refusing to evaluate or promote it due to its alleged lack of political correctness.

How is this legal?

The facts speak for themselves.

We still see various hit pieces written about the game. They only slowed down when the gaming "journalists" realized the tide was turning against themselves.

Hell, the VG Awards even nominated a mobile card game, a PS5 tech Demo, and a Friggin' DLC just to avoid nominating Stellar Blade and to snub BMW. Even when they announced that it won players choice, they repeated reiterated that it was decided by players only to distance themselves from it.

Just because there is not a signed confession from the perpetrators, that doesn't mean that it didn't happen. All the evidence and all the actions of the gaming media paints a very clear picture.
The facts of the matter is your only source for the entire conspiracy was a documented liar. And not just a documented liar. As I put it earlier.

What's more, your original source, the random Weibo user, he thinks western people like you are just incredibly stupid and would repost whatever false propaganda he'd spew to sow dissidence. He thought you were so genetically inferior to "China #1" and would be stupid enough to believe him. And you did everything you could to prove him right. Which is embarrassing to say the least. This is why you shouldn't just repost foreign propaganda without checking it first.
The each of the countless hit pieces published again the game are evidence as well.

Technical issues, a spotty development history, and a contentious fan base have marred the hype around the Chinese release
This despite the game selling record numbers.

Once upon a time, coming forward with cultural complaints about a piece of media might have facilitated healthy discussions and smarter consumption a few years ago, but in today’s climate, it’s more likely to trigger angry factions online and fuel sales of an otherwise ordinary product.

Now, let’s talk about studio allegations. In November of 2023, IGN published a deep dive into the toxic, unprofessional work environment rife with misogyny and fatphobia cultivated at Black Myth: Wukong’s studio Game Science.

(...)

IGN’s original article is worth reading in full as some of the stuff described is too heinous to post here. (...) Meanwhile, IGN’s reporters have faced unrelenting attacks both personal and professional from legions of angry gamers online, with a new wave of harassment occurring just this past week, more than six months after the original article’s publication. Game Science has remained silent on the harassment campaign being waged in its name.
So IGN attacks GS (and the Mary sue doubles down on it), fans get mad and hit back, and the Mary Sue starts crying about GS not defending IGN.

I could go on, but I don't really think it is necessary. I think the point has been thoroughly made.
From the video I watched, they only said "rumor" but no real proof. We do have evidence that SBI loves to threaten companies (from the ceo themselves) but no evidence of wukong being in any way a target, whether it is actually true or not.

What we know is that corrupted media did attack wukong in many ways, trying to shoot them down for many reasons. When they didn't call it sexist or misogynist, they claimed that devs cried when it lost the award, which was proven false.

In short, yeah the internet is filled with evil people but don't believe "everything". If it's a rumor then don't claim it as fact unless you have evidence. You can't defeat evil by relying on unproven information. Defeat evil with facts and truths.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
