Changing regions with a gift card.

Would redeeming a steam gift card from another country will change the region of my account to that country right? I dont want to do something drastic, i live in the caribbean and want to change to the USA(the prices of the games wont change, I am still charge in USD like an american) so i can buy helldivers 2 and god of war ragnarok.(i want to try this before i try other "methods"

Your account region is required to be set to where you live. What you are trying to do is not allowed, and can get your account banned from buying anything ever again.

Apart from what d3str0y3r already wrote, Steam Wallet cards cant be used to change store region. They do not count as a registered local payment method.
Only valid payment methods to switch region are bank account, credit card and PayPal.

Buy keys from legitimate sites instead.

What happens if I have remaining balance and move to another country and use their banks?

Your Steam Wallet balance will be converted to the new currency at the current exchange rate.
