Steam app scaling
Is there any way to zoom steam WITHOUT having to change windows scaling?

I have a 3440x1440p monitor and like my desktop icons small so I have scaling to about 125%.

Everything I used on my PC has its own text scaling, so browser I can just Alt + Scrollwheel and hey presto, I can see the text and I didn't have to change windows settings once!

Why cant I just zoom steam so I don't need to be so close to the monitor, that doesn't change how windows is displayed?

If I put steam in full screen its the most ridiculous thing ever.

Why is it so hard to customise steam? I'm no coder and literally don't have the first clue about programming stuffs, but is it really that difficult to make steam bigger and independent of windows scaling?

I literately just want steam bigger without having huge icons on my desktop, why does Steam hate me? :'(

Thanks for the response, however the only options I have is

''scale text and icons to match monitor settings''

Which is no good because my monitor settings are 125% so steam is still tiny.
I don't wanna change monitor settings because it gives me large desktop icons which I hate.

I just wanna zoom steam, steam alone, not monitor settings, just steam, like I can do with my browser.

There are no other settings in ''Interface'' that allow me to do that.

I do not know if this will apply to the whole Steam client, but:

Steam > Settings > Library (the top option)

Again thanks for the help, yeah found that option too, but it just changes the size of the titles I have on my account.

I just tried big picture mode, which makes stuff much bigger, however I don't want steam as a bad version of a console.

I think its not possible unless I scale windows up, but then I need to work out how to make the task bar small and desktop icons small also.

I think I will find myself something useful to do and forget about scaling steam..thanks for the help.

Thanks, seems like a great workaround.

Have to manually start steam, though but that's no hardship.

Thanks kindly

Maybe you should increase the scale of Windows AND reduce the size of the icons on the desktop? (Right-click on the desktop, point to View, and then select Small icons)

That's actually a better solution, 125% with small icons. the task bar is bigger than I'd like, but I can live with it.

Thanks for helping me.
