A post over at "X" talks about a thing called 'OperationStockDrop'. Not sure of the validity of the post, but it makes mention that in 48 hours the operation will start where investors in STEAM will drop their stocks for STEAM getting involved in helping the Government spy on Gamers. Because it appears the FBI thinks that most US and Canadian based gamers have a WS problem the government made up/created, in order to create "censorial legislation" to keep us citizens from talking about Government and Corporate crimes against us, at our expense. Interesting times!

Interestingly, if this post gets censored it pretty much proves the point. So post will be archived.

Even if Valve was publicly traded, which it isn't, what would such a dumping of the stock in protest achieve? Some other interests would simply buy it up on the cheap, leaving the leverage of the protestor where exactly?

Older people have a hard time with computers in general. This extends to using search engines properly.

Studies have already shown that misinformation is spread at a much greater rate by the older generation. Usually due to the lack of verifying information and basing information upon headlines alone.

That article is about wanting Valve to completely cut off their online services in Russia.

Right now Valve is following the current sanctions. No more and no less.

It has nothing to do with consoles(which Valve doesn't make) or selling them in Russia(which the Deck isn't available in).

So again, what is this supposed console? That is some random site that someone made without any actual info. I can make a site and claim whatever I want on it.

You can translate it to english but it has nothing to do with Steam. Nor any devices sold directly by steam. It mentions Steam deck as one of the consoles people rebuy from re-sellers in Russia as Russians want consoles. Nothing at all remotely newsworthy. They also rebuy SNES consoles, switches, etc so you better go run over to Nintendo's forum

The consoles are not being provided by Steam. Hopefully in the future you due a bit more diligence
