Bro, whats wrong Steam's download speed all of a sudden?

Now games like MK11 takes up to 8 hours and it doesn't go above 5mbps.

At first I thought it was my internet and nope, it's fine, same as always pretty much.

I cleared my download cache, changed regions and basically just messed around with some download settings on steam which didn't do anything.

Every video I watched, didn't really help.

Also it seems to be "exclusive" to Steam, I went to download mw1 to test and that game has been downloading at my typical speed, it was gonna be down in less than 2 hours or so.

they broke the whole client. have you not noticed? the topics around...
i have not been using traffic trough steam recently, i have no observations of the network performance. but since that update, everything works worse. could have been a week already, actually, since the update

I didn't really check forums, when I was redownloading siege and saw that it will take like 3ish hours, 3 more than usual, I thought nothing of it really. Assumed it was just my internet having a bad day, but it has been like a week ever since and it just seems to have gotten worse.

I hope they fix this, otherwise, Imma just move to PS and just use PC for games like CSGO and Valorant.

change your download server to another location, it doesnt have to be the closest one.

no reason you cant get your full download speed at the moment.

im getting my max download speed right now. tested a random game on a random Europe server
BUT i "only" have a 250mb connection so maybe im not seeing a true issue with people that have very fast connections.

It just feels like it's being some how capped when it shouldn't be. Any option that caps it is turned off.

my connection seems ok. its at 85% of my limit. tried it by starting a download of destiny 2.

Weird. Seems like a friend of mine has the same issue. His internet is ok, but his steam is now being wonky like mine.

just found in another topic, i run steam with the

-vgui

argument. it brought back the old gui. try that if want. might help. it surely helped with the gui issues i have

there have been some post not long ago that
people in your situation found useful....

also steam has a dedicated Hardware and OS forum that can be very helpful..

Are you in the same region? Don't count out regional issues.

Also, you said you tried different download regions. All servers? Cause there are, what, 130?

My connection downloads to the max as well.
