That setting is for the chat's timestamps(that nobody I know of uses, lol), not the actual clock, having searched steam high and low, I have to assume steam thinks everyone in the world runs on military time.
I can read 24 hour time just fine, just always makes me do a double take when I check the time because I'm so used to seeing 12hr time there.
For the general US population, the default is 12 hour.
For other services like Military and select other services, they use 24 hour.
But anyways, this bug is weird. BEFORE 12pm, if you switch 24hr setting ON, it'll add a 0 infront of the time. (so like 09:30) If you turn it off, it'll get rid of the 0. However, starting at noon, the setting doesn't have any effect and will just display 12-23hrs. Very strange...
So the setting DOES effect the clock, but only until noon for some weird reason and then it forces 24hr time.
not a big priority but volvo pls fix. (also very strange since Valve is a US-based company)
2024 and it is still not fixed.
