Formal Complaints Process
Hi,

Do Steam have a Formal Complaints Process which I can follow.

Context: I've raised a refund request multiple times through the current support channel and the tickets are auto-closed with the reference to the policy regarding play time and time owned.

My Refund Complaint is outside of that remit due to the technical problems happened after that initial period.

The support tickets seem to receive the same response with the same reference but no response to the questions and points I'm making.

I would like the formal complaints response so that I can raise a ticket through the Ombudsman in the UK for Fault Goods or Goods Not as Described.

Could anyone assist?

Hahaha - where are you making this up from - Campaign is not what I want to play. Multiplayer is what I purchased the game for, which is not free. Warzone is free, yes. Multiplayer is not.

See you in a couple weeks when I'm banned from making purchases everywhere, going against you're logic.

The campaign represents the base licence with the multiplayer included. It does not matter if you want to play the campaign or not - that is what you paid for so any incurred bans have no bearing on that portion and this has been the case for 15 years. Steam auto-locks accounts when there is a charge back to the account. They will not remove it until the lock naturally expires if they set an end date on it.

The product you bought is not broken, fraudulent, or mis-advertised under any law. Steam's refund policy is within UK law.

That's fine by me, I won't be using Steam in future - it is broken and mis-advertised if I'm unable to play it, which I can evidence.


Not being able to play it due to a ban from the developer does not make the game broken or mis-advertised. You agreed to their ToS when you bought the game. That includes them banning you from participating in the multiplayer aspect of their game is they deem fit to do so.

It also has nothing to do with Steam since they don't issue bans in games that are not using VAC.

The base licence is the game you paid for 'Modern Warfare 2019' - the multiplayer portion is an attached component that is included. Really isn't hard to fathom but I guess for you it is. Probably should start reading ToS to compensate for your lack of common sense.
