#FixItNow
Target window should look like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -vgui
Old UI back with Friends List now the default as it was before.
If you simply want the old UI back, then just add -vgui and change whatever you like.
Steam, please add the missing options to the new UI!

Now suddenly double-clicking on the tray icon opens the main Steam window (which I don't need) instead of the friends list which is very irritating.
STEAM WHERE THE HELL IS THE OPTION TO HAVE THE FRIENDS LIST AS DEFAULT WINDOW IN THE NEW UI???

Very disappointing & annoying change.
Give us -vgui back or simply, you know, add "Friends" back as a startup / default Steam window option in the new UI like it has been available in the old UI for like 20 years.
Seriously Steam, wtf. Get a move on.
what is the problem?
Double-clicking the try icon is a much faster way than right-clicking it and looking for the correct option in the menu.
Problem is they have removed the option to open the friends list with a double-click on the tray icon, an option that a lot of people used.
A UI update should not take functionality away that is changing a core way of how people use the application.
Valve gains nothing if people set their default window to Library now. But they're pissing off everyone who has used Friends as their default window for years. Valve would have to be really stupid to do such a change on purpose.
