jesus fuck dude I wish the hell we could man, this is literally the worst edition yet, such a deaf company I swear
♥♥♥♥ steam royally, never giving these shlubs a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cent again, I'm just gonna start "buying" a game then refunding it without deleting it, already did it with rimworld and a few other games, this shit is so frustrating, especially when they go out of their way to fix previously working workarounds to their inability to design a proper half decent UI

bump, nothing was wrong with the old ui, change scares me

The new UI is also broken and causes errors, it tries to steal control away when your mouse so much as brushes across it. I tried opening my steam friends list and accidentally moused over one of the buttons on the main window and it shoves the friends window to the background and forces the client to the front.

This entire thing is unacceptably bad and is making steam horrible to use.

I don't know for how long this fix will last but i will put it in an Even simpler step by step form for the less experienced of Us

#1 locate the Steam Shorcut
#2 Right click on the Steam Shortcut
#3 In the Popup menu click on "Proprieties"
#4 In the box that has "Target" at the start (below target location) click on the box and go to the end by pressing the right arrow
#5 Press space and type "-vgui" without the "" mark
#6 at the bottom of the window beside "OK" and "Cancel" pres "Apply"
#7 Restart steam by closing it from the tray or task manager
#8 Enjoy a better ui Experience

-Thanks to RiO for the original answer

The -vgui argument works with GNU/Linux executables as well.

This works but you know they're going to try to take this away because they hate the end user.
