WHERE IS THE MUSIC PLAYER

I have misophonia so I need music in my ears always and steams music player was the most easy to use accessible music player for me and now I can't find it anywhere..are we no longer able to listen to music through steam on a player UI?

I can't find it either. Its been hidden away in the in-game ui you have to re-enable the "soundtrack player" window. And then its just that. I don't see the option to re-add my MP3 files to its listing anywhere. It has had issues with playing them, crashing, and crashing the whole steam client which I have been reporting for over a year now; and it looks like rather than fix it, they just removed the feature entirely.

yeah same I can't play non-purchased soundtrack music from my PC neither. God why do corpos love removing valuable and fun ♥♥♥♥ non-stop every damn year. Creatures.

Bring it back i used it a lot. Everytime i see a update i already know what will happen. Wish i could revert this update not only because of the music player but everything is worst.

There are decisions that I don't understand. What was wrong with the music player?

I see so many comments saying that we can use the Windows player, Winamp and so on but they miss the point. While in game you could use the overlay to play music without having to alt tab. That is a luxury now gone.

I just can't understand what was wrong with the music player... ?!!
I use that ALWAYS! it keeps me focus while I play... I hope Valve will bring us back this feature very soon. C'mon!

ahahaha yes I'm a little late, linking to the same thread, it works wonderfully, small like 263 kb update for me and everything is normal again, and the music player is back.

A good chunk of the soundtracks I bought are listed as DLC, not soundtracks. You used to be able to play them w the music player but I can't play them on steam now. Is there any way to get steam to play those files?

Can you install adblock on Steam Overlay?

If you're seriously suggesting people have their other bloatware resource hogging browsers open in the background on their nonNASA computers while gaming to ALT+TAB to which might crash 90+% of videogames not coded for alt+tabbing, then, well, you didn't think your suggestion through.
