skins have not been gone for years, though? and they functioned just fine, friendlist aside, with certain updates just breaking them a little until it gets patched again
i don't mind the default UI too much personally, but outright removing skins as a feature rather than giving them at least some support is really bad for the user, even if only like 10% of people actually use the feature
Just had a really fun time removing the Red End of Life alert from the client again.
Oddly. The new Css arrangement actually seems to make it easier to tweak since the stuff is spread accross fewer files and fewer directories.
I strongly suspect we will see skins re-added once they've finished the full public roll out period
