How do I revert the UI update?

Yep, looks pretty terrible compared to the old one. It also consumes 10x more RAM then the old UI, so it's ugly and performs much worse. What a joke of an update

Everything was working perfectly but since this morning automatic update, it fails to launch and stays stucked on a f...... new panel with "launching user data" and doesn't work anymore. Killing app, reboot, nothing works...GREAT WORK STEAM :(

Well, at least you can enable 24hr clock in the settings, but 24hr clock for what?

This is ridiculous. I don't even think you can disable the address bar at the top anymore, I'm not seeing an option in the settings. Hell I'm not even seeing an option to switch back to my Metro Steam Skin anymore, WTF VALVE WHY!?

Themes or skins have pretty much been dead for years. They either don't function properly or everything is changed except the friends list because you can't skin that.

You can't revert it and I actually kind of feel sorry for you guys. This stuff has been in the beta for 3 or 4 weeks at least maybe more. This is nothing new to those of us who are in the beta. It isn't disgusting. The only bugs I've seen so far is the back forward buttons are glitchy as well as the window sizing.

Well yes it is my opinion but I can tell you this, they aren't going to revert this update.

Also, what have they done that's causing it to load so slowly. Go on a discussion forum, click a thread, hit back button and it flips you all the way to your library. I want to stay on the flipping forums. >.<

Tested that and not having an issue with it. It just goes back to the previous page.

Forums loads pretty quick too for me.

Seriously I don't mean this to sound mean but what are you guys running hamster wheels? It loads as fast as it ever did for me and I have a mid-range PC. I will admit the back and forward arrows are broken and it goes to sections of the UI that you don't want it to. Hopefully, that is fixed quickly.

just want the old simple mail icon for notifications this new weird. you see a mail icon click on read the discussions your want without the extra icons and your done.
