Ubisoft Asking for Activation Code When Bought on Steam
The launcher is asking for my activation code now. Even though I already have the game. I've tried all of the methods, and they didn't work. Ubisoft just suddenly needs an activation code. I came back after 4 years, and they are asking me this. The support chat isn't helping at all as, well. I tried all of the links, and they're not working. Also, I don't want to replay the game and reset my progress. Then also it told me that the game was expired. Like what? I already own the game on Steam and bought it.

All anyone here is going to tell you is either open a ticket with either Steam Support or Ubisoft Support. No one here is going to be able to make your key work.

Also, if you open up the Ubisoft client for the game that you were talking about, it will show you your activation key.

I know that I have already opened it and it said that it was expired. i sent out a ticket and everything and I have been waiting a day and no response yet

Nobody here will be able to help you. A day is not a long time, you will just have to continue waiting.

It also would help if you would mention the game that you're referring to.

it's been about now 5 days going to be 6 about this issue, I sent a case out yesterday, and no response. All of the other responses did not work. so idk. I thought going over here would help me and give some other info about my problem.

I own many Ubisoft games on Steam and on Ubisoft itself as well as Epic. The last game I played was The Division. No issues so far.

Dude, not to seem harsh but do you know how support works? They have millions of other customers, they're not going to answer you right away. They can't. They get to issues in the order that they were received. Waiting a day and saying you can't get any help is nothing to go on. It's going to take some time.

The launcher is no different than the one from Epic or EA. Do I wish it was all in Steam? Sure. However, you know what would happen then? Everyone would be screaming monopoly.
