Ui being worse might be a bit personal taste to an extent, but App using way more mem than it should (and more than the competition while doing the same with diff apps), steam closing processes roughtly and messing up itself opening them again, huge number of processes being created for no reason and not being "killed" eating mem, Steam not closing itself as quick as before (its actually slow as hell), back button bug, steam going back to library alone while browsing (because bugged and kill restart webhelper process roughly), among other thing, is something that cannot be given an opinion to, its simply bad programming that needs to be fixed.
Add this with things that we had in the past that doesnt work now.
On my two portable systems, this is a real issue as it hogs up to all my ram. Also, you missed the part where it goes up, even in idle. I got little idea as to what end it'll go before stopping. Luckily there is still restarting steam. But this is obviously an issue with the launcher that should get fixed.
I built my computer to run games, not the steam launcher alone.
i want my ram to be utilized for >50%
everything just works smoother
*Problems like system sluggishness to software crashes.
What the hell? This shouldn't be happening with 16GB of memory.
i went from 800mb while idle to 430mb
for what steam does... i want it to use as little of my resources as possible...
430 seems the best i can get with no navigation usage problems...
