What does any of it has to do with having a song list. And devs sell OST with nearly any game now as part of the package
And I seriously doubt making a decent music player is out of Valve's capability
Well users often do confuse capability with necessity or value. Valve was likely tracking music player use for a long time and if a tiny minority is using it, and it's not something they want to spend resources on modernizing for the new UI/system then on the chopping block it goes.
Valve's ability isn't the issue. And the fact they make billions and can afford to waste time and resources according to random users is a non-argument. Because beyond either of those points, Valve has a lot of experience running their platform and can make informed decisions about its direction, even if some minority is dissatisfied or doesn't understand "why".
This is not an intellectual debate, we are asking for some basic features here.
Some of us have hundreds of albums that we purchased here, that is a 100 reasons to have a song list and basic playback features.
That said, it's a shame that they removed it for those who used it. My guess is it wasn't up to par for Steam standards to keep it although my understanding is that it is unclear why they did it.
Wouldn't surprise me if it was security related, though. Just another way to have to defend against attackers and never do wells.
having problems with Armoured core 6 tbh, its a different launcher instead of DLC thingy, and then even if i can dl it seperately and try to use it with the steam player it wont work as of latest update so, yeah, back to external music player it is
May be you can use another player just because if you exit steam, music will end ...
There is many nice players around, i think you have the choice : xmplayer, foobar2000,mpc-be ( yes it's a movie player but it can play most music format and shoutcast/icecast streaming as well ) and many more others.
yeah im back to winamp it is. thx tho for the suggestion
aye winamp is also a good one , i mostly listen to shoutcast stream and some offtopic yt post about transe where i've discovered some nice artists, one kind of music i really like.
why would you remove a feature ? like wtf ...instead of adding fetures and improve them they just remove it... unreal .....i was already displeased with this platform for a long time with the way it is managed but now i'm actually furious..
in retaliation i will go out of my way to avoid buying games directly from steam from now on.
steam and youtube have the worst management i've ever seen , the dumb decisions they constantly make on these 2 platforms are mind boggling
