Steam Veterans Free SteamBox

Hey Steam, I've loved you for so long now 7 years coming up on 8 for this account. unfortunately my older account that i started in 03 the email got hacked. I don't want to say that Steam Veterans like myself, are entitled to your upcoming Steam Box. I'm sure many people feel the same way as me, I've pre-ordered quite a few games thru your service, I've purchased so many full prices games. So many bundles, so many sales, thousands of dollars.

This is where I come to my point. Without the dedicated and patient community of veteran members, and early adopters, remember steam came out in a land before everything was digital or streamed. also does anyone else remember how terrible HL2's release was. Steam would have essentially flopped without it's fan base. Reward your 8+ year members with more than 200+ games with a free steam box and steam controller when it releases retail. The hardware is cheap, the software is free. be thankful for the people who have suffered thru and didn't jump ship.

With this logic, I should also demand free 20 year supply of bananas from my local grocery, because I have shopped there for over 10 years.

Let me get this straight: You want Valve to give you several hundred dollars in hardware plus several thousand dollars in games (they don't get the games for free) just because you've been a customer for a couple of years?

Every computer I've owned since 1985 has had an Intel CPU. Do they owe me a nice $10,000 computer and a bunch of software for that? I've been eating at McDonalds since the early 70s. Should all of my food there be free, along with a house to eat it in? State Farm has been my car insurance company for twenty years now. They should give me a new car!

Obviously not. I wouldn't go request one on the basis that I was a long time customer, that would make me look entitled.

I guess a small discount would be a nice gesture, 1% off for every year on Steam ( 1 discount per account, minimum amount of games bought to protect against abuse ) sounds appropriate.
