Does using steam wallet fund to buy game make u pay taxes?
so i know that when u add money to steam wallet they will charge u extra for tax. But when the money is in my wallet fund and i buy some game with it does it charge me another tax for the game? because i really wanna play Red dead 2 and Cyber 2077 but if they charge extra for taxes i wont have enough money

Depends on where you live, probably.

We don't have sales tax where I'm at, so I didn't even know they took tax...
Yes, Valve still needs to pay taxes to your government, so the price is the same regardless of whether you put money into Steam before or after you go to the purchase screen.

That's why putting $5 into your wallet puts $5 in and not some lesser amount. Tax is taken out at purchase time, and adding funds to the wallet isn't a purchase.
Adding funds to your wallet is tax free. It is basically a money transfer.

However, you always pay taxes on purchases with those wallet funds.

The only exceptions to not paying sales taxes are the few areas that do not have sales tax on Steam, as seen here...
