Steam game ban abuse still exists till today yes I'm back

We just got a case where Valve banned a game on Steam and that fake developer was able to place steam bans on people's profile as revenge. Steam/Valve needs to do better.

To the mods that talked smack previously to me, yes I'm back, and I'm not going anywhere. I am back again and will always be back again to fight injustice because I am not in the wrong here. Close a million threads, and supports, I will open new ones. Fight the great fight of injustice till the wrong doers go down.

That is my suggestion, do better, combat steam ban abuse, it is a proven thing. Retired mod mad I am still fighting injustice, also need to do better.

I recall this gentleman, he came in over 2? 3? years ago, talking that a dev of a game that didn't do so hot on the market, and the game maker got his underwear in a bunch that people suggested some negative feedback about his game, and the dev went on a ban rampage, so a bunch of people had 'game ban' from this.

many have had it removed, so i wonder what the problem is here, that specific title, i forget it, but that was quite the dust up.

I imagine steam would make the request of the developer to get the receipts for the bans, and when finding it was 'ban because i didnt like user stealthy' it would be reversed wouldn't it?

I would note that the user is very consistent with their language, and appears to tell the same story forwards, backwards and cross referenced with his language from 3 years ago.

so if steam is simply closing the tickets, further escalation would be suggested, rather than attempting to bandy words with individuals on the forums.

i can understand the reluctance of the other individuals to extend a hand of courtesy , however, some ppl would be expected to fall through the cracks. and again, i'd only mention this because in general, rule breakers have a boat that leaks, once you find the 'leak' in the story, it is pretty easy to just ignore it.

I'd recommend caution before just outright berating this individual, because this appears to be written in a tone of outrage, which, is justified. it would be worth the right parties analyzing it in detail.

I would ask that the writer continue to write to steam support for help, since i'm not sure talking with regular users will accomplish much.

Which leads to something that is even worse than the ban that he's complaining about. An account restriction is much worse than a ban.

It's been stated countless times that Steam Support does not get involved in game bans. If the other bans were removed, that does not explain the ban still being on his account after more than 2 years.

Also I think he can do whatever he wants. I never read his 3 other discussions. This also seems to be in right place by just a smidge. Its steam discussion. He wants to talk ♥♥♥♥ not suggest anything. This seems like about the right spot to me.

lol steam does have its flaws. You know they read it when it deletes or locks.

That's not how game bans work though (or at least should work..) it's only if you're cheating. Toxic behaviour isn't cheating. Also it's very much up to debate what's considered "toxic".


Are you trying to say any devs may give out game bans completely arbitrarily, because they just don't like someone? And with that, staining a steam account with the red text that never goes away? My account is 18+ years old and valued at over 10k $ (and that's just the monetary value, the sentimental value makes the account irreplaceable..) but I run the risk of potentially getting my account destroyed, because some reddit-tier community manager disagrees with my views? If this is the case I'll probably stop buying games on steam lol. I play a lot of multiplayer games, never cheat and never will, but getting banned for swearing etc. is absurd.

If you don't like how the system works and is intended to work, take it up with Valve. Valve issues game bans for griefing in all of their games that use game bans. You don't need to be modifying game memory or plugging in an action replay to your gameboy to ruin the experience for other players.
