Make sure your desktop's power settings are not set to dim the display or change any visual settings when running on battery. Check both plugged in and on-battery settings.
Check the settings on your Orion TV. There might be a feature that automatically adjusts brightness or contrast. Ensure there are no eco or power-saving modes enabled.
In the NVIDIA Control Panel, go to "Adjust desktop color settings" and make sure that the settings are consistent between your desktop and laptop. Pay attention to gamma, brightness, and contrast settings.
Check the in-game settings for Dwarf Fortress and Bannerlord. Sometimes games have their own display settings that can override system settings.
Go to your desktop's display settings and ensure that the brightness is set to your preference. Also, check if there are any adaptive brightness settings that might be affecting your experience.
Check if Windows Night Light is enabled on your desktop. This can cause a dimming effect. Disable it temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.
If the issue started after a specific driver update, consider rolling back to a previous version and see if that resolves the problem.
