Can't change my profil picture to a gif/animated

I tried to change my profil picture to an animated one, its the one that i have right now, tried various extensions, gif, webp, jpg, apng, nothing works, can someone help

Steam does not support custom animated avatars. But you can choose one from Points Shop.
