Ah gotcha. Knew something was def off there lol.
It'll be less than 2 million because there will be among those that will go to Windows 10/11. my bet, significantly less than 2 million, I would be surprised if 5k people decide to not upgrade to windows 10/11 and stop using steam.
IT all boils down to money. You can tout numbers all you want but from Valve's perspective, thats 2 million users worth of dead weight.
COnsidering that the percentage share drops a fair bit every month...rthat'd be a good guess.
what are you even talking about?
His ongoing grand conspiracy that no numbers related to Steam are valid. Theres arent as many users as Valve states, the live player in game counts are fabricated and so on. Hes even gone so far as to state something to effect of "Steam doesnt have as many users as they say because...look at the forums".
I wouldn't mind paying Steam a moderate annual fee for service. After all, i am an Xboxist lol.
I'm sure an unpopular opinion, but one i would consider.
A fee can keep our games, bring about better moderation, get rid of needing game hubs and maybe going to chat support.
In my many years with Xbox, there has not been, one issue in the decades with them.
We deserve SERVICE, Mr Newell
I just think Steam is the wild west of gaming. It's great if you know the ins outs of computers, and very rarely need support. It is a free service, and it's not that great tbh, which would be expected.
In addition, not minding having to upgrade existing machines and OS, every few years it seems.
A pay tier for those, who expect better service, to keep our games running, and moderation that are better quality, is something that i feel is not a useless matter, or post.
Maybe. DRM on Steam, DRM-free on GOG.[www.pcgamingwiki.com] It doesn't seem to have third-party DRM, use a launcher, or be always online, so it will probably work offline.

Probably. The Steam version can apparently be made DRM-free.[www.pcgamingwiki.com]
Assuming that's "Call of Duty", almost certainly not. It requires a third-party Activision account. That presumably forces you to be online and pass a DRM check.

Yes. DRM-free on Steam after installation.[www.pcgamingwiki.com]
No, almost certainly not. That uses VAC.
Assuming that's "PUBG: Battlegrounds", no. By definition, you can't play an always-online game offline.

Maybe? DRM on Steam, DRM-free on Zoom.[www.pcgamingwiki.com] It's apparently been delisted on Steam, so who knows.

Capitalism is gonna capitalism and all that.
Yeah it wouldn't be a moderate fee m8. And you'd basically find yourself in the same sscenario when the nyumber of people paying that fee inevitably drops below a certain threshold.
Then you should take your consideration a little fuirther . Doesn't take a genius to see that all that amountsb to is kicking the can down the road . at best.
Yeah no m9. No. W& users aren't losing their games. The games are where they've always been, linked to the accounts. When you can login with a proper client the games will still be there. Moderation, while slow is okay. and why do you think a fee would even have anything to do with game hubs?
And considering that MS isn't doing so well with their xbox subscription model.. yeah....
The cold hard reality of life.
