Well that is for Russia. Mao is a different story because he actually told people to kill others and caused mass starvation that way.
But this is more about the leaders themselves being utterly horrible.
It's different from the Nazi symbol because that ideology targeted a certain group of people.
Communism target a certain group of people too - rich people, intelectuals, individuals, religious people. It is hate symbol.
Says the guy with a single spade in his name. That's a representation of the Ace of Spades. A symbol of hate during the Vietnam war.
Couple it with the dollar and euro signs in your name, along with the other remaining suit symbols (also symbols of western warfare) and it's clear you're trying to assert western dominance over minority nations as a form of hate.
In other words, symbols are what you make of them, even when you jump to incorrect conclusions. I suspect you think the manji symbol is offensive, too, don't you?
Bro, spade is one of symbols of poker cards. Dollar and euro have in name, because I like money, richness, no matter what currency it is. And I never heard about that poker killed minimally 94 millions people like communism did.
So what you're saying is that hate symbols are okay for you to use if the number of people killed under their banner is less than an arbitrary goal post you set and if you're ignorant about their meanings. So this topic isn't actually about hate symbols, but your hatred of a specific symbol that you've decide only stands for hatred you don't support. Gotcha.
Communism it is hatred ideology and Hammer+sickle it is hate symbol. In name of this were killed millions people. You can't deny it.
You know that you spitting on memory of these murdered people?
Yes, people died under communist ideals. People also died under many other political ideals, too. Including those represented by some of the symbols in your username. You can't just claim one symbol to be offensive and demand its moderation and then claim similar symbols you use are acceptable because of your own ignorance.
You're the one who ignores important things. 94 million dead is not enough for you? Can you even image such amount of living beings? I doubt.
We should also consider all flags and nation names to be hate symbols. After all, at one point people killed others in name of their country and flag.
Eh and christianity has killed millions in crusades in the past too, The US had slaves, the jewish people have done xxxx, etc. Everyone has done wrong at one point or another in history. Trying to associate the entire political party with the actions of a few in power at one point is never productive.
