Homophobic moderators

Not this board, but in general, Steam seems comfortable with homophobes as mods. Particularly cyberpunk 2077 has a closet case mod "Sardukhar" who perma-banned me because I disagreed with homophobic mean-spiritedness.

Because Steam refuses to address this, I am forced to purse legal action. (probably 9th Federal, but I'll review my options.).

No joke, this is a mix of homophobia, and hate speech, and what it means to own a purchased product.

Will I win? Maybe not, but I won't lose, either, and for every hour of my time, they spend 5 hours of $200 hour/time on stupid crap lawyers.

Unfortunately that's more or less true. These places have long sense abandoned being a social space to discuss the business as decided upon by players and even allows open harassment and incitement against other users via the report button without any protection or ability to face an accusation. And sadly it's not limited to steam personally.

Why do I feel like you never went to a blockbuster in your life? You could rent movies for adults in the same store where you could rent movies for kids. In both cases, there is an age barrier. If kids find adult games, blame the parents. It's not Steam's issue.

Hello Words worth, I remember you sitting next to Mickey Mouse movies. For those wondering it's a porn. Though to be fair back then stores would literally put dvds like School of bondage(there's pictures of this and it's hilarious) whch had naked woman and semen on the cover and no one thought that an animated film MIIIGHT not be okay for children. "All animation is for children," was -that- strong back then.

I also agree with the parents fault, if a child is regularly running across porn enough to be mroe than a passing Earthbound situation(the lead Dev once walked in on a rape movie mid rape scene) then it's the parents negligence.

Words Worth has a cute catgirl. Okay, seriously, the person who allowed that to happen gets fired. lol. But yeah, there are ways to parental block hentai games in steam. A parent's job is to make sure their kid's browsing and tv watching is safe.

Adult games are still games. Steam makes money selling them and people are happy. We can also just not see them if we filter them out. I think the issue is that some parent leave their kid to do whatever they want a little too freely in my opinion.

I think you're confusing the difference between left and right. The mods are by no means a right. They leftist and upholds leftist narrative. Once you go against the narrative then you get the ban hammer.

I've been personally called both a 'far right nazi' and a 'woke snowflake' when sending two people who were slinging insults at each other to cool down at the ban corner. Game admins don't work with steam. It's also not one sided. Some can be evil on a side or the other but Steam does NOT keep an eye on everyone. They will often tell you that these teams can moderate their forums however they like. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I concede there's a dichotomy because at this time there's two kinds of moderation happening at the same time in the same place:
-Steam manned moderation. Subject to the discussions rules and guidelines.
-Dev appointed moderation. Although grounded on the discussions rules and guidelines it can have additionals rules and nuances.

And people tend to lump them all in the same basket.
