True indeed
That's what's up, would you say that's typical if you know what you're doing? Could you be making much more if you really put your time & effort into it?
Me, I was winging it for a while, not paying that close attention, selling some before sales events to get games until I noticed a few had spiked in price over the years.
The sticker capsules from some Majors were great but most turned put to be duds.
I see, that's really neat that you're able to do it in such a way that it basically funds your purchases on here
If something like that existed, nobody would play videogames.
I mean, yes, but I'm only asking for titles. I got into CS:GO firstly for the drops, but stayed for the addictive gameplay.
If anything, I'm more looking for the motivation to play diverse games than just having free funds. After all, CS2 is no longer worth it for me without achievements, ranks, or new content.
Anything worth selling for more than a few cents or a few dollars is going to be relatively rare. Mostly with TF2/CS2 rare items only come from opening cases, which require keys which cost money. And it's not as if you're guaranteed super valuable items after you use X amount of keys. And anyone who claims to be making money is either spending quite a bit on keys, or they got super lucky one time and have been coasting on that windfall for ages.
You might get lucky opening a case. You might get lucky and snag an undervalued item on the market. You might get lucky and get a case/item that's just released and the prices haven't normalized yet. But neither of those are going to be daily occurrences for any particular user.
So ultimately you're talking about an endless grind for enough pennies to purchase something you might be able to make a few more cents on. In theory over time it could add up into significant volume, but you could also be one bad purchases away from square one. Desperately trying to game the system is bound to lead to greed induced mistakes.
For the amount of time and effort we're talking it's hardly worth it, and you can't really get much for nothing. The best score I ever had was getting a silver botkiller wrench the first few days Mann vs Machine was released. And even then it still cost like $6 in tickets. I think I sold it for about $24.
Frankly it's much more efficient to get a job and just buy the things you want with your wages.
1. It's not as half as fun as playing a game.
2. There are several scams in this area, people that do the "job" and never get paid.
@OP Keep in mind that you can purchase Prime how many times you want, on countless Steam accounts. As long as you're not evading bans, it's all good.
There are no repercussions for using alts in CS2 at this time.
In Dota 2 however, that is a whole other can of worms.
