Should I download Steam games to SSD only?
Steam has moved lot of game files into compressed format. And lot of users do not realize this, until they actually look it up why installation is so slow.

For users, this means that game installation on HDD are much slower than it should, due to time of decompression.
For games that require lot of data loading, SSD has better advantage in gaming, and it is much more preferable to do so to install in it.

As people like myself, I prefer the games that I see that it won't need too much data loading, to be stored in HDD. This is just too slow to install.
Should the users all move to SSD download/installation?
At this point, I guess users have to rely on download/installing on the SSD, and then move the files to HDD afterward if desires to. This is probably faster.

Should Steam give notification in such cases? I feel like I see lot of the same posts about this same issue on slow game download/installation.

IMO, SSD all the way.

HDDs are only acceptable to me for longer term storage that dosent involve running/gaming on it.

Think, movies, music, pictures and all that jazz.

I don't care about install or download speed. I care about the speed of the game itself when playing. If a game requires a lot of HD access that you notice, SSD would help. Most games play just fine on my HDD. Largely depends on the game, or the type of game. I don't think Picross, Tower Defense, Hidden Object, and the like really requires SSD, and probably will not speed those up by any noticeable amount.
