• When you put an item up for sale it does not go in to the market, even if it shows up in your "Market Listings"-overview.
• Sold items on the market does not get removed, they stay there for ever with the tag "sold!".
• When you select an item in your Steam Inventory, the "current price" that is displayed is for the lowest price of that item on the market - even if the item with that price is sold.
Hope they fix it soon.
But they prices are going up :D
Valve, at least stop people from being able to put items in to the market (untill it's fixed), because they don't know the real market value of that item as it stands now.
Thats the first tought i had when i saw that.
As I wrote earlier, this has happened several times before. Just take some deep breaths and chill. Valve will fix the broken market when they get back to the office after the weekend.
Valve earns just as much selling 10 skins for 1$ as they do now with 1 for 10$, the percentage Valve takes is the same. Remember new skins don't get added to the listings, therefor people will buy less skins since they are more expensive.
Users have a need for the items and a user that is willing to buy a knife for 50 will buy it for 60 either and that is the same thing with every item.
The only one that profits by this is valve, cuz so all the old much overpriced items will get selled too cuz people want to buy them, it is that simple.
After this, when the market works again, every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kid thinks oh my gosh the guy sold his knife (originally worth 30 Bugs) for 50 ... So i will put it on for 55 Bugs.
So Prices will get much higher as they where before VALVE freezing the market.
YOU ARE RIGHT , THIS HAPPEND SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE, ALWAYS WHEN THERE WAS A SALE FOR GAMES. SO VALVE CAN SELL CHEAP GAMES WITHOUT LOOSING PROFIT.
