So Steam is in Canadian Dollars now and I can't tell if I'm being screwed...
Some games are now $10 more than they used to be, some are just slightly less than they would be if I had bought them with USD using my Credit Card company's exchange rate (ie: about $5 more), others are somehow the same price they were before. Any other Canadians not know how to feel about this?

Why steam and Ubisoft are Stealing canadian citizen ? The change % is not fair to what its suposed to
Your Canadian $ is more devaluated than the real change convertion , All games are mostly costing from 1 to 3 $ more than when we Bought them in amarican $ , why steam screw us up ?

I wont buy a single more game on steam from now on till they fix this issue

there was no problem buying my stuff in american $$ my credit card providers was already taking care of the convertion so i was sure to pay the same price as any american with the change % current at the momment of the purshase

Only a literal handful of games are priced at 69.99CAD from 59.99USD. And again, even with that the price differential is only $1.50USD. Honestly how many are there other than NBA 2K15

Some credit card don't charge a conversion fee, the conversion is done, but some don't require to pay extra for the "service" (such a big service LOL).

Only Capital One in America doesn't charge it. In canada all cards charge a currency conversion fee of around 2-3%. The 'best' you coudl pull off in Canda was using paypal funded by your bank, to get it down to 1%

That's your choice not to buy games.

But now it's 69.99$ for some game that used to be 59.99USD.

You end paying more, how it's a WIN?

Also why the heck Steam use the C beside the $??? It's pointless.

What game?

and the C before the $ is for those that can't see their email or the big red CANADIAN DOLLAR at the top of their steam. So some of them will be able to understand the the rise in price is because of Canadian dollar.

I still don't get the point of the C befor ethe dollar sign ....

Steam decidded to do the whole change to various currency, not only CAD. Yet they weren't able to handle the euro pricing correctly.

Isn't this a done deal? Conversion complete, ready or not?

That is just false. Sorry. There is no credit card in existance that doesn't charge an exchange rate between USD and CAD. I suggest you read into each entry a bit more.

Some credit card don't charge a conversion fee, the conversion is done, but some don't require to pay extra for the "service" (such a big service LOL).

But even credit card that had conversion fee, it was hard to see them charging 70$ in CAD when a game was 60USD.

I'd like to know which cards don't, but that wasn't what I was getting at. He's claiming he was paying $49.99 CAD for something that was $49.99 USD. You aren't going to find any card that doesn't have an exchange rate at all.

youve been screw we chek it out and we pay around from 1 to 4 $ depending on games more than the actual convertion change %

Assasin creed is now 69.99 canadian instead of 59.99 US wich mean its suposed to cost 66.78 and not 69.99

what pisses me off more is the stupid C infront of the $

does steam really think we have something as stupid as that infront of our dollar signs?

Seems to me we came out on top here: We still don't pay GST, most game prices seem to be an accurate converstion from USD to CAD at the current exchange rate rounded to the nearest 99 cents, many bigger titles seem to be listed at the same price in both USD and CAD, putting us ahead do to the weak dollar at the moment, and prices that did suddenly spike seem to simply be the Canadian RRP, so the same price in stores as on Steam, which is probably more to do with the game company gouging us due to our weak dollar, not Steam. Regardless, the higher cost is only a couple dollars when you factor in the exchange rate, and is kind of moot when you consider we are saving a couple dollars on other titles.
