Need Help registering Half-life 2

I purchased my game through Amazon.com it came with a product code I tried to register it earlier today, but was told that the key is invalid, how do I get me game registered so I can play it?

If your key was refused and you are sure you've correctly typed it, you should bring it up to Amazon Support, so they can get you a working key.

i have a receipt from the original sender through amazon the key is suppose to be good. now i cannt find where i need to go to try to register it again

Was this a new or used Disc

Open the Steam Client click the "+" in the bottom left corner, "Activate a product...."

there are 5 disc's in the box for half-life 2 with a product key, the receipt says that it was in good condition it only cost me 7 bucks through amazon but now I can get the game to start, it birngs me here cannot get it registered with the available key and dont know how to get loaded here on steam

Sounds lke you bought a used PC game which are basically only good as drink coasters (there virtually is no used PC game market as the activation codes can only be used once to register to an account).

You'll need to get a refund through Amazon. You should look for new unused/opened physical games or digital cd key codes from sites like this http://isthereanydeal.com/#/search:halflife%202;/scroll:%23gamelist

There is no "register site", you go to "Activate a Product on Steam" and enter the code. You didn't need to necro a Thread from 2015 for this.
